Péter Turóczi has more than 20 years of experience in balance sheet-based, acquisition and project finance transactions, further also has extensive experience in real property law. He was leading team member in the banking and finance group of international law firms (Baker & McKenzie and Weil, Gotshal & Manges) and following that has headed the legal division of an international real estate development firm for years (TriGranit).
In addition, prior to the start of his legal career, he worked for several Hungarian banks' subsidiaries in Hungary, where he dealt with client acquisition and was also responsible for client management.
As a lawyer, Péter has been involved in a number of acquisition and project finance transactions, ranging from acquisition of legal entities or assets, through real estate developments to power plant financing, including both Hungarian and cross-border transactions. In addition to the above transaction types, he has acted as an advisor in a number of financial restructuring and refinancing transactions as well as experienced in security enforcement procedures on lender-side. Péter also acted as a legal advisor on syndicated, club lending and previously popular PPP transactions. He has also acted as finance lawyer on each of the lender and borrower side, representing in particular OTP Bank, CIB Bank, Citibank, K&H Bank and MKB Bank.
Péter graduated in Eötvös Loránd University Faculty of Law in 2003 and has been a member of the Budapest Bar since March 2007.
In addition to his native Hungarian, he is fluent in English.
